QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Someone calls diving an extreme sport. However, in fact, it is even less extreme than skiing. Moreover, according to statistics, diving is one of the safest types of activity. There are certain risks of specific diseases such as decompression sickness or pulmonary barotrauma in diving, but they are very easy to avoid. In the beginner's course, certain rules are taught, as simple as the rules for crossing the street at a traffic light, observing which, you will never have a chance to acquire these diseases. Moreover, you need to try hard and do unnatural things to get sick with diving diseases.

There are good and decent instructors in Turkey, Egypt and other resorts. But also there are those who are primarily interested in you paying off and leaving faster. In the best case, you will be lowered to the bottom and allowed to feed the fish. Of course, such an experience cannot instill in you a love of diving. Diving in the Federation is, first of all, the pleasure of the training itself. We devote enough time to all aspects so that when you sink under the water you have knowledge, not fear. If the fear of the previous dive haunts you, then we will conduct an individual lesson with different approaches to overcome it.

Ear pain appears due to the effect of pressure on the air cavities of the ear. In other words, as the depth increases, your eardrums begin to squeeze into your ear, and the discomfort turns into pain. In order to prevent pain, the pressure in the ears should be compensated (blown through) as often as possible (every 0.5 meters of depth). To do this, you just need to exhale into a hand-held nose and make a swallowing movement. You get this knowledge already in the first lesson. Thus, you can break the current record of 313 meters absolutely painlessly.

A diver's certificate is not only proof of your knowledge in the field of diving, but also the ability to make independent dives in any country in the world, rent diving equipment, and dive to a depth of 20 or even 40 meters.

A certificate is most often a plastic card similar in size to a credit card. On one of its sides there is information about the certifying organization and the level of the diver's certification. Also on this side there is often a security hologram (for example, CMAS). On the second side there is information about the diver himself. His name, surname, personal number and number of the instructor who issued the certificate. For example, the number of the CMAS card looks like this - MDA / F02 / P1 / 08/000077 where MDA - Belonging to the country (Moldova), F02 - Federation code (mandatory member of CMAS), P1 - certification level (Plongeur (French diver) of the first level ) 08 - the year the certificate was awarded and 000077 - the serial number of the card. By the same principle, you can decipher the instructor's number where instead of P1 there will be M1 or M2, M3 which means Moniteur (French Instructor), and the number is his level. Diver cards are not expired, but instructor cards have the expiration date indicated on the card.

Always check the availability, authenticity and active status of your instructor's certificate.

A certification body is an organization of professional divers with its own approved diving training system. Such an organization may have a network of schools teaching diving according to this system. The training system provides for certain standard knowledge and skills that a diver must possess at the end of a certain course of training. Confirmation of possession of this knowledge and skills is a certificate (diploma) with which a diver can rent equipment in a dive center and dive according to his level of training. The generally accepted training levels are: open water diver (allows you to dive with a partner, not lower in level, to a depth of up to 20 m), a second level diver (allows you to dive with a partner, not lower in level, to a depth of 30-50 m), diver - professional rescuer and diver of various levels. The largest, widespread and reputable certification organizations are: CMAS (Confederation Mondiale des Activities Subaquatiques), PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors), BSAC (British Sub-Aqua Club), SSI (Scuba Schools International), GUE (Global Underwater Explorers).

First you need to sign up for courses and go through all the theoretical material and complete all the dives in the pool. Then, together with other student divers, you go on a dive tour to Egypt where you perform open water dives together with the group and instructors. After completing the training stage of the first level diver course, you can immediately proceed to training on the second level. Having completed the required 5 dives from the course together with an instructor and having received another certificate, you can spend the remaining time in Egypt diving for yourself and just gain experience. Thus, you study theory at home, do practical exercises in the pool and in a week in Egypt you become an experienced diver of the second level while seeing all the beauty of the Red Sea.

How good can training be in a 2.5m pool?

The beginner's course contains 3 components:

  1. Theory: studying a textbook and passing three tests.

  2. Lessons in the pool: to consolidate the theory, three practical lessons are enough, in the 2.5 m pool.

  3. Practice and examination in open water.

The certificate can only be issued after the successful completion of all components.

The open water exam is a mandatory step for obtaining a diver certificate.

It is no coincidence that the choice of the country fell on Egypt, since this country is as accessible as possible in terms of the budget, and it is also possible to dive in Egypt almost all year round. However, if this is not possible, then the exam can also be taken in the Black Sea during the warm season.

According to the standards, it is possible to introduce children to scuba diving when they reach the full 8 years of age.

Diving (Diving. From the English. Dive - to dive) is diving under water and scuba diving or other device for breathing underwater. Those. when a diver (one who dives) is under water continuously and breathes air or other breathable gas.

Freediving and apnea (Freediving from the English - free diving / diving) is a diving under the water holding the breath. A distinction should be made between sports and recreational freediving. The goal of sports freediving is competitive achievement and exceeding a measurable result: immersion depth, diving distance in length or breath holding time. Amateur freediving should be considered as an activity on the water and not aimed at sports performance.

1. A diver breathes air from a cylinder under water, a freediver dives holding his breath.

2. The diver is underwater continuously and will see more

3. Freediver travels light

4. Diver explorer and traveler

5. The freediver grows above himself and develops personal skills.
